Arsene Wenger today confirmed Danish striker Nicklas Bendtner will be back in full training in two weeks. Nicklas was originally set to play against Manchester City in the Carling Cup tie at the City of Manchester but will now more than be short of fitness for the tie.

Nicklas Bendtner’s father/agent Thomas Bendtner has said that Nicklas is back in light training and is eager to get back in the swing of things. Nicklas has been out of action since late October, but Arsenal do not wish to rush him back incase of a reaccurrance of the thigh injury.

Nicklas Bendtner has claimed his most prestigious award yet after being named the Danish Footballer of the Year for 2009.
The award was presented to the injury-striken front-man in a special programme called Dansk Fodbold Award on the TV2 television network in his homeland.
